The RAP-5000 is rated for rooms up to 600 sq ft with a CADR of 230 m³/h. The RAP-7000 Digital Inverter covers up to 700 sq ft with a CADR of 260 m³/h and adds a real-time AQI display, auto mode and night mode. Compare both in the table above.
Royal recommends changing the filter roughly every 6–8 months on the RAP-5000 and every 6–12 months on the RAP-7000, depending on air quality and how much you use it. Genuine Royal replacement filters are available in HEPA 13, Activated Carbon and Anti-Bacterial variants.
Both models use a multi-layer filter with a HEPA stage that captures 99.97% of airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns, including fine dust and smoke particles, plus an activated carbon layer for odours and VOCs. That reduces indoor airborne particulate during smog season. An air purifier treats indoor air only and is not a medical device.
